Update Product Collections

This guide explains how to update product collections using the Batch Job functionality in Afosto. All activated batch jobs for your account can be found under the lightning icon in the red top menu in Afosto.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to the Batch Overview

• Log in at app.afosto.com
• Go to ‘Batches’
• Click the icon to open the batch overview
• You are now on the overview page of batch actions

Step 2: Select the Correct Batch Job

• Go to the ‘Products’ tab in the batch jobs overview
• Scroll down until you see ‘Update Product Collections’
• Click ‘Start’

Step 3: Enter a Reference and Select Options

A screen will open where you need to:

• Enter a reference name (required field) to identify the batch job among multiple tasks. Use a logical name.
• Choose whether to create a new product collection if it doesn’t exist yet (not recommended, as this requires exact naming of existing collections).

Click ‘Next’ to continue.

Step 4: Enter the Data

A screen with columns will appear. Batch jobs in Afosto always use the EAN or SKU as the product reference.

• Enter the EANs or SKUs in the first column.
• Enter the product collections in the second column.
• Use a semicolon (;) to separate multiple collections for the same product.

Click ‘Save’ to complete the batch job.

The example below shows how the columns should be formatted when updating the product collections for the three specified EANs or SKUs.
